EchoMedic AI is an ultra-lightweight, offline-first mobile application designed for healthcare workers in remote, under-resourced rural clinics. By leveraging highly compressed, on-device machine learning models, the app analyzes basic patient symptom inputs and low-resolution images (like skin lesions or throat swabs) to flag high-risk conditions, triage patients, and suggest localized treatment protocols—all without requiring an active internet connection.
In many developing regions, rural clinics are staffed by community health workers rather than specialized doctors, and reliable internet is non-existent. Patients often travel days to city hospitals for conditions that could have been managed early. EchoMedic AI bridges this gap by putting a diagnostic safety net directly into the hands of frontline workers, ensuring life-saving triaging happens at the point of care, regardless of cellular connectivity.
We have successfully built and optimized a lightweight version of our screening model that runs seamlessly on $50 Android devices. We are currently looking for:
- Medical Advisors: To help validate our localized protocol logic and ensure strict compliance with regional healthcare guidelines.
- Full-Stack Developers: To help refine the app's offline data-syncing architecture when a device occasionally connects to a network.
